AST MODEL® PROFESSIONAL CASE REVIEW GROUPS
AST Model® ongoing case review groups are a terrific way to learn AST Model of Holistic Shame Resolution® work in an applied context with Caryn Scotto d’ Luzia, developer of the AST Model® and an engaged peer group with diverse backgrounds and experience.
These are review groups for professionals only. In AST Model® work a professional may or may not be licensed, but those participating are required to serve as a professional to an active client base while maintaining appropriate boundaries and standards of confidentiality. Cases are brought forward by the review group participants.
All forms of therapists, counselors and healing professionals are welcomed to attend. AST Model work appeals to professionals with a rich and highly diverse background. Commonly case reviews are attended by psychologists, licensed counselors, social workers, MFTs, bodyworkers, somatic practitioners, energy-based healers, healing professionals, yoga and embodiment teachers, group facilitators, life coaches, addiction counselors, and professional facilitators.
The focus is on cases for review by Caryn Scotto d’ Luzia through the AST Model of Holistic Shame Resolution® perspective. Its focus is twofold: to assist with client growth for more positive outcomes and to learn the AST Model approach through case application. Because there are so many kinds and expressions of shame, the cases and reviews vary widely. For example, cases may touch upon shame and its intersection with sexuality, relationships, social phobias, medical conditions, gender or cultural shame-based conditioning, transgender and/or LGBT concerns, addiction, life purpose, motivation, trauma, intergenerational shame, OCD, highly sensitive personalities, eating disorders, learning disabilities, performance, authentic expression, play, creativity, chronic pain, suicidal cycles, depression, just to name a few.
Every person in the group regardless of licensing status, professional oaths, or backgrounds will be asked to maintain the highest standard of confidentiality at all times. (See “terms and conditions” for more details.)
AST Model® case review groups meet once a month for 6 months. You are asked to make a commitment in your schedule for this when you first sign up. The calls are recorded and can be listened to in playback by group participants. The monthly structure creates a rich container where an increasing level of safety and insight can be shared. Sometimes groups continue for a second 6 month round or longer.
Often an additional benefit to the learning and support is the rapport that develops between group members. Being part of an ongoing review group is a tremendous way to catapult one’s learning of the AST Model® after attending a live training, online learning, or completing a course of personal AST Model sessions with Caryn. Although AST Model ® case review groups are not a perquisite or guarantee for assisting at LIVE AST Model® trainings, they naturally form the basis of the local AST Model® community in the area or region where they are located. It is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of this local community.
